Cichlids are among the most popular freshwater aquarium fish because of their pleasing appearance, extroverted personalities and interesting behavior. They can learn to recognize their mate, as well as their owner. Cichlids come in a wide variety as there are over 1,200 species. The Albino Oscar Cichlid is a muted orange pink in coloration and is usually missing the eyespot. Albino Oscars tend to dig up plants so it may be best to have floating plants, or cover the roots of the plants with rocks. Oscar Cichlids should be kept with fish of similar size as they will eat smaller fish.
