Written by Melissa Sutton | November 23, 2011 at 10:25 pm

Although it is not recommended to give your dog a bowl of your Thanksgiving meal, you can make Spot his very own meal! He will be barking up a storm for more of these recipes. First is;

Turkey Patties

1 cup shredded roasted Turkey meat

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg, beaten

1/2 sweet potato, baked, skin discarded and potato coarsely chopped

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons cranberry sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the turkey and the breadcrumbs. Mix  gently with your hands, then mix in the egg and the sweet potato. Shape into 2 1/2 inch thick patties. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain. Top with the cranberry sauce and serve. as per  www.articlesbase.com

For a hearty stew, try;

2 cups cooked brown rice

2 cans of veggies or fresh veggies are better, such as potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, green beans, kale, spinach, 2 hard boiled eggs, chopped

1 can of Mackerel, chicken livers or gizzards, chopped
