Orbiculate Batfish

Also known as the Orbic Batfish, this majestic fish can grow up to enormous proportions, measuring 22 inches from top to bottom. Needing plenty of room for swimming, the Orbic Batfish is not appropriate for reefs as it will eat ornamental invertebrates, including, but not limited to shrimp, corals, anemones, and crabs. Initially looking like a brown-ish leaf during its youth, the adult Orbiculate Batfish takes on a silver coloration with black vertical bars through its eye. Does well in a community fish-only tank, aggressive fish such as Puffers and Triggers will pick at its large dorsal and anal fin.
