Party with your Pets
A Party for your Pets
Several years ago while perusing a pet store, I watched an employee load and arrange animals into a large bin. I asked, “where are they going?” The employee responded, “to a party”. I felt a little left out because I wasn’t invited especially since there were going to be chinchillas.
Pet owners have been hosting parties for their pets for years with each year getting more and more elaborate. Birthday bashes, Halloween parties, and tying-the-knot ceremonies seem to top the charts.
My dog, Spanky, a basset-pit mix will be sporting a blue cape and a red t-shirt with the renowned “U” standing for Underdog. He will celebrate the day with bones and a cauldron filled with a cold Heineken (he likes beer).
Soon I will send out Halloween invites to his closest friends. The invitations are themed with doggie bones buried in a cemetery. Next up will be deciding on the proper venue. Perhaps my backyard because it’s fenced in. Also I’m assuming that some of the party guests may get out of control. Bad behaviors include, digging, begging, or slobbering and drooling then shaking their heads next to your bosses wife. This is also why I’m keeping the list rather short. Themed snacks and refreshments will be included. I’m keeping in mind that drinking may cause slobbering. Entertainment will include “best costume” and “best trick”.
