Ways to Show Love to Your Pet

Each time you walk through the door, your pet showers you with love and kisses. Maybe not the felines, but they show their love in their own special way.

Pets can improve your quality of life and have a knack of being there anytime you’re feeling blue. Read on to discover new ways to show your furry friend how much you truly love them.

Play Time – Animals love to play and playtime is an important part of a pet’s daily routine. Dogs love being outdoors with their owners. They love to run and the especially love all the smells.

If your dog socializes well with other canines, treat them with a trip to the dog park at least once a week. Cats are attracted to anything shiny that they can chase or paw at. Engage your feline for 15-30 minutes a day with a game of tug-o-war or buy them a little toy mice to promote their natural hunting instincts.

Pure Affection – Your pet will feel wanted and loved for when you are affectionate towards them. Offer them praise in a soft yet rewarding tone of voice, pet them any chance you can, rub their bellies, give them a gentle massage during bath time, spoil them with tender kisses and take them with you to run errands any chance you get.

Personal Space – All animals should have their own personal hideaway to retreat to, this allows your furry baby to feel safe and secure. Pick an area of your home that is quiet and decorate the space with their favorite blanket, a comfortable bed and favorite toys.

Creative Treats — With thousands of options available, you can indulge your pet with some homemade tasty treats. There are plenty on the market filled with vitamins and nutrients, or you can make your own homemade bones, treats and even delicious cakes for your furry friend.

Yearly Checkup’s – Most animals don’t enjoy their trip to the vet, but this is one of the most significant and loving things you can do to ensure your pet is in good health. It is vital to keep your pet’s shots current for their health and overall wellbeing; your pet deserves to live a long and happy life.

Your relationship with your pet will become much closer. They are much like children in that way, they need to be nurtured in order to grow.
